    Quite honestly, we’re not going to mince words here and put on some sort of sales pitch. This is NOT for everybody, and you deserve to know whether or not you are cut out for this career move or not. Here are a few questions that you’ll need to answer YES to if you intend to move on at this stage:

1. 1)Do you have enough money saved (or additional income) in order to invest in new equipment, advertising, materials?
   

2. 2)Are you capable of spending a few years building your new business before turning a profit?
   

3. 3)Are you a diligent person who follows any and all tasks through to completion?

    The best franchisees are typically the best managers. They are diligent, follow strategies to the letter, and complete tasks within the time frames allotted. Does this describe you?

    People who are unfocused and prefer to fly by the seat of their pants typically do not make very good franchisees. These people may end up succeeding in other areas of business due to their creativity, but they would not do well within a franchise system.

    While franchisees are true business owners, they operate under an agreement to conduct business in specific ways. This is both beneficial and restrictive. The systems have been developed to benefit the franchisees, but more creative people will find these systems to be confining. You should think carefully about whether or not you have the right personality for this before moving on.
